Learn Mandala & Lippan Art at Your Own Pace With Live Guidance

Join the Dots & Clay Patreon Studio for recorded step-by-step classes, weekly creative projects, supply lists, colour palettes, and live studio sessions where you can ask questions, get feedback, and grow your art practice without feeling rushed.

How the Patreon Studio works

1

Monday: New project announced

Get the weekly project theme, supply list, colour palette, tools, and preparation notes.

2

End of week: Full class uploaded

Watch the complete recorded lesson in episode format. Paint along at your own pace, pause when needed, and revisit the steps anytime.

3

Every other Sunday: Live Studio Session

Join Ajay live from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM MT for questions, demos, troubleshooting, colour help, and creative guidance.

For smaller projects, we may still paint together live in a traditional class format. For more detailed pieces, the live session becomes a support studio so you do not feel rushed.

Ask anything

Show your progress, get help with colors, understand brush control, fix tricky areas, or simply watch and learn.

Your own pace

Paint every week, join quietly, ask questions, or complete projects on your own schedule. All are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

A calming online art studio with recorded step-by-step classes and live support.
No. Replays are posted afterward, and the full class lesson is uploaded before the live session.
Yes. You can go at your own pace, pause the lessons, and ask questions during live sessions or through Patreon messages.
Sometimes, if the project is small enough. For more detailed projects, the full lesson is recorded first so the live session can focus on questions, demos, feedback, and support.
Every other Sunday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM MT.
Mandala art, Lippan art, brushstrokes, colour palettes, creative exercises, and functional art projects.
That is completely okay. You can observe, learn quietly, paint later, or participate whenever you feel ready.
Materials are not physically included with the Patreon membership. For each project, I provide a detailed supply list with product names, descriptions, and links to Canadian websites whenever possible. If you live outside Canada, you can usually copy and paste the product description into Amazon, Google, or a craft store website in your own country to find a similar item. Most materials are common art and craft supplies, and members are usually able to find close alternatives easily.
You do not always need the exact same brand or product. I will share the type of material, size, colour, and purpose of each supply so you know what to look for. If you cannot find the exact product, you can search for something similar in your country using the product description. You can also message me on Patreon if you are unsure whether a product will work. I can help you choose a suitable alternative where possible.
Not always. Many tools and supplies can be reused across multiple projects, especially for mandala painting, brushstrokes, Lippan art, colour mixing, and functional art projects. Some classes may require a specific base or material, but I try to keep supplies practical and reusable whenever possible. Over time, you can build a small creative toolkit that supports many different classes inside the studio.
Yes, you can cancel your membership through Patreon. That said, the studio is designed to be an ongoing creative space, not just a one-time class. Members continue receiving new project ideas, recorded lessons, live support, replays, colour inspiration, creative exercises, discount codes, and access to a growing library of content. You may also enjoy staying connected with fellow artists, sharing your progress, asking questions, and using the studio as a regular source of creative motivation.
Patreon access depends on your active membership and Patreon's billing settings. Once your membership ends, you may lose access to member-only posts, classes, replays, collections, and resources. If there is a class you want to complete, I recommend watching it and saving your personal notes while your membership is active.
You can start learning as soon as you join. Once you become a member, you can explore the existing class library, browse the collections, watch recorded lessons, review colour palettes, and start with any project that interests you. You do not have to wait for the next live session to begin.
Yes. Your membership gives you access to the growing Dots & Clay Patreon Studio library while your membership is active. That means you can explore past classes, revisit older projects, watch replays, and learn from previous lessons without starting from zero. You are not limited to only the newest class. You will also continue receiving access to new classes, project ideas, colour palettes, creative exercises, live studio sessions, and replays as they are added. This is one of the biggest benefits of joining the studio: you are not just signing up for one class. You are joining an evolving creative library that keeps growing with you.
